Triathlon Highlights or recent performances: Winning the London Triathlon in my age category in 2012. Winning the Triangle Triathlon Race in Coleraine in 1987.

Current Goal: Steer clear of injuries. Next Year’s Goal: Enjoy the races and the training.

Favourite Training Sessions: Getting a good hammering from Rhodri and Anne Paul on one of their run sessions.

What made you take up the sport? I wanted to be bad at three sports all at once.

Favourite food/drink: T-Bone steak in the Harbour Bar or one of their fish selections.

Favourite bit of kit/equipment: Leg Warmers and Pool Buoy, but not at the same time.

Who do you see as your main rivals? The Brownlee Brothers
